Other Equipment:
Swivels
Swivels are rotary tools that are hung from the rotary hook and traveling block to suspend and permit free rotation of the drill stem. Our inventory includes National Oil Well 500 Ton and 650 Ton Models.
Kelly Drive Bushing
Utilized when drilling with a conventional (as opposed to top drive) rig, it transfers torque from the rotary table to the drill string via the kelly.
Kellys
These can be either square or hexagonal in design. Hexagonal are preferred in tough drilling operations over standard square kellys. They are steel members suspended from the swivel through the rotary table and connected to the topmost joint of drill pipe. Their purpose is to turn the drill stem as the rotary table turns.
Internal Casing Cutters
Designed to cut through casing downhole in the event of casing being stuck or when abandoning an offshore well site.
Casing Scrapers
Casing Scrapers designed to remove scale, mud cake, cement sheath and other foreign material from inside of the casing wall up with a range from 4.1/2” up to 13.5/8".
Casing Swedges
Casing Swedges are used to straighten damaged or collapsed casing in a well or to drift prior to running production tools.
Mule Shoes
A Mule Shoe is a sub with a nose open to allow fluid to pass such as cement and also to orient the drill stem downhole.
Bit Breakers
Bit Breakers are size specific and are manufactured in heavy plate, designed to fit in a rotary table for holding the drill bit while it is being made up. Our range are designed for tricone Bits up to 26” OD.
Lift Nubbins
Lift nubbins enable pick up of tools by a threaded tool joint connection. Our range is covers all API threads up to 7.5/8” Reg.
Drifts
Are used to check that the ID of drill pipe or casing is not buckled and free from debris. Our range is from 1.66" to 20" OD.
